‘Extreme Temps’ Helps Keep Customers ‘Sticky’

 

In its continuing effort to look beyond the home when it comes to security, Alarm.com recently announced the release of the most recent addition to its empower energy management home automation platform, its “Extreme Temperatures” feature.

 

This new feature will automatically adjust a home’s thermostat on days of extreme high or low temperatures, making for a much more energy efficient home. And a more energy efficient home means that you will save money every month on your heating and cooling bills.

 

This system is perfect for everyone, but is especially nice for people who are often away from home and don’t want to spend a lot of money on heating and cooling during times of extreme weather.

 

Extreme Temps allows customers to automatically set the target temperature of their thermostat based on the forecast for their area. For example:

 

On a very hot day, the system will increase the thermostat by 1-9 degrees, saving you, the customer, money by reducing your home’s energy consumption on days when their air conditioning system is likely to consume a lot of energy.

 

You can even have the system send you text message and email notifications when Extreme Temps is activated.

 

Jay Kenny, Alarm.com’s VP of marketing, believes this new feature will cause customers to engage more with their system and thus see more value in it.
