What's the Deal With Central Vacuums?

Here at CSS, we offer several integration options you can choose as your home is being built.  Our home automation systems are, of course, very popular.  Security and functionality is a core part of who we are.  Branching off functionality, we also offer integration of a central vacuum system.  But what is that?  Why would you need it?  Hopefully, with this post, we can convince you that a central vacuum is worth the installation.

Cost

Why deal with bags and replacement vacuum parts?  Some high-end models of movable vacuums can get incredibly pricey, even though they boast lifetime usage.  But that’s not always guaranteed, whereas a central vacuum system is.  Not only that, but it can add up to $2,000 in value to your home.

Usage

How does it work?  Well, it’s actually pretty simple.  You’ll have a few ports situated around your home; these ports are going to sit unintrusively, and then you’ll attach at tube to it.  The actual tubing that sends debris to a decided location is behind your wall, so you won’t ever see it, and the actual power unit is also out of the way.  There’s no need to frequently travel to it when you want to clean, either.  You can turn on the system from the attachable hose.  The hose itself is light, portable and functional.  Ideally, a central vacuum system is there to avoid dragging a heavy, bulky vacuum around the house.  No more breaking your back trying to carry a vacuum up the stairs!

Why Install?

Think of all the negative things you associate with vacuuming.  Storage space, dirty airflow, weak suction power–we all know vacuuming isn’t very glamorous.  But a central vacuum system can change that!  There’s no air coming out of an exhaust.  There’s no need to worry about storage space, or parts breaking.  In fact, because a central vacuum doesn’t have a traditional mobile motor, it can use much more suction power compared to a movable vacuum.  Efficiency, functionality and overall cost are all wonderful incentives to install the system.
